Project Update

Construction Work in 2017: WETA completed many important milestones for the Richmond Ferry Terminal Project in 2017. The design build construction contract was executed in June 2017. The design and construction of the in-water work was expedited in order to complete it before the 2017 in-water work window closed. The in-water work included demolition, pile driving and dredging and was completed on November 20, 2017. In November 2017, the design build team completed the 100% design for the landside improvements and waterside terminal facility. The construction plans are under review by the City of Richmond and the Bay Conservation and Development Commission. Construction is scheduled to commence in February 2018.
