Project Update

June 23: Demolition continued on the Pier 2 wharf with the contractor removing large portions of the wooden decking while working their way closer into the lagoon. Production pile installation also continued for the foundation of the new promenade behind the Agriculture Building. The dredging barges also mobilized and began dredging to create a deeper channel for the new ferry terminals.

Project Update

June 19: The contractor continued to demolish the Pier 2 wharf using a vibrating pile extractor to pull existing piles out of the bay while also continuing to demolish the old wharf decking surfaces. Additionally, work also began on driving the production foundation piling for the south end of the new promenade.

June 5: Construction forged ahead this week with continued demolition of the existing Pier 2. The contractor also mobilized marine construction barges in preparation for pile installation.
