Project Update

October 26, 2018: This week the contractor finished placing the shut out formwork and the beam formwork for Deck Pour #14 and the rebar subcontractor finished placing reinforcement.  Deck Pour #14 was successfully completed during a night pour. Waterside of Gate F, the contractor continued work on production piles for the last 3 guide piles for the Gate F float. In the south lay down area, the contractor continued to place forms for the landing and wheelchair ramp for Pour #7 and continued demolition, and the subcontractor placed reinforcement. On the promenade, the subcontractors continued to place granite at Gate F, continued to place formwork for the containment curb, started to install the curbed guardrail, and placed waterproofing and completed the pour for the south-most topping slab area.
 
Over the next several weeks, the contractor is scheduled to form the landing and wheelchair ramp for Pour #7 and Deck Pour #15, install pipe for fireline, and continue with installation of the various portal components and guide and fender piles at terminal Gate F. Subcontractors are scheduled to place rebar for Pour #7 and Deck Pour #15, continue installation of the promenade topping slab and containment bands, begin installation of portal roofing and waterproofing, and begin installation of interim power and communication.

October 19, 2018: This week the contractor continued with the removal of concrete formwork and falsework from Deck Pour #10 and installation of falsework beams and plywood for Deck Pour #14 and Deck Pour #15. Waterside of Gate F, the contractor drove the first 3 guide piles for the Gate F float. In the south lay down area, the contractor began to place forms for the landing and wheelchair ramp for Pour #7 and continued demolition. The contractor also began saw cutting the fire waterline trench on the Embarcadero side of the fence, outside of the south lay down area. On the promenade, the granite subcontractor continued to place granite at Gate F and began to seal the granite at Gate G.  Also on the promenade, the concrete subcontractor continued placing formwork for the containment curb and finished placing concrete for the south-most containment band.
 
Over the next several weeks, the contractor is scheduled to pour Deck Pour #14, continue installing the falsework in the middle of the lagoon, and continue with installation of the various portal components and guide and fender piles at terminal Gate F and Gate G. Subcontractors are scheduled to place rebar for Deck Pour #7 and Deck Pour #15, begin installation of the promenade topping slab, and begin installation of interim power and communication.

October 12: This week the contractor continued with the removal of concrete formwork and falsework from Deck Pour #10 and continued installation of falsework beams and plywood for Deck Pour #14 and Deck Pour #15. At Deck Pour #14, the rebar subcontractor began placing reinforcement and the electrical subcontractor began placing conduit on the bottom mat of rebar. Waterside of Gate G, the contractor drove the remaining 3 guide piles for the Gate G float. On the promenade, the contractor began placing granite at Gate F and installing drains on the canopy roof. Also on the promenade, subcontractors began placing formwork for the containment curb, while the contractor began placing dowels for the containment curb.

Over the next several weeks, the contractor is scheduled to pour Deck Pour #14, begin installing the falsework in the middle of the lagoon, and continue with installation of the various portal components at terminal Gate F and Gate G. Subcontractors are also scheduled to place rebar for Deck Pour #14 and Deck Pour #15, begin installation of the promenade topping slab, and finish patching the promenade curb concrete.

October 5, 2018: This week the contractor continued with the removal of concrete formwork and falsework from Deck Pour #9 and Deck Pour #10 and continued installation of falsework beams and plywood for Deck Pour #14. In the south lay down area, the contractor also placed formwork and side forms in preparation for Pour #7 and the rebar subcontractor began placing reinforcement. The contractor assisted one of their subcontractors in placing the promenade canopy, and the three pieces of the promenade canopy were welded together. At the promenade terminal Gate F, subcontractors began the installation of granite cladding. One of the subcontractors began placing formwork for the containment curb on the promenade deck.  

Over the next several weeks, the contractor is scheduled to continue installing the falsework and formwork in the lagoon along the AG Building, begin installing the falsework in the middle of the lagoon, and continue with installation of the various portal components at terminal Gate F and Gate G. Subcontractors are also scheduled to place rebar for Deck Pour #14 and Deck Pour #15, begin installation of the promenade topping slab, and finish patching the promenade curb concrete.

September 28, 2018: This week the contractor continued with the removal of concrete formwork and falsework from Deck Pour #9 and Deck Pour #10 and continued installation of falsework beams and plywood for Deck Pour #14. In the south laydown area, the contractor also began the demolition work in preparation for Pour #7. At the promenade terminal Gate G, subcontractors continued with the installation of granite cladding. The contractor also began driving float guide piles for Gate G.
 
Over the next several weeks, the contractor is scheduled to continue installing the falsework and formwork in the lagoon along the AG Building, begin installing the falsework in the middle of the lagoon, and continue with installation of the various portal components at terminal Gate F and Gate G. Subcontractors are also scheduled to place rebar for Deck Pour #14 and Deck Pour #15, begin installation of the promenade topping slab, and finish patching the promenade curb concrete.

Sept. 21, 2018: This week the contractor continued with the removal of concrete formwork and falsework from Deck Pour #8 and Deck Pour #9 in the lagoon. The contractor also continued the installation of falsework beams for Deck Pour #14 and began the demolition work in preparation for Pour #7 in the south laydown area. On the promenade, subcontractors continued with the installation of electrical conduit and granite cladding for new Gates F & G.
 
Over the next several weeks, the contractor is scheduled to continue installing the falsework and formwork in the lagoon along the Agriculture Building, begin installing the falsework in the middle of the lagoon, and continue with installation of the various portal components at terminal Gate F and Gate G. Subcontractors are also scheduled to place rebar for Deck Pour #15 and Deck Pour #14, begin installation of the promenade topping slab, and finish patching the promenade curb concrete.

September 14, 2018: This week the contractor continued with the removal of concrete formwork and falsework from Deck Pour #8 and Deck Pour #9 in the lagoon. The contractor also began to install falsework beams for Deck Pour #14.  At the promenade terminals Gate F and Gate G, work continued with the installation of the portal doors and granite cladding.
 
Over the next several weeks, the contractor is scheduled to continue installing the falsework and formwork in the lagoon alongside the Agriculture Building, begin installing the falsework in the middle of the lagoon, and continue with installation of the various portal components at terminal Gate F and Gate G. Subcontractors are also scheduled to place rebar for Deck Pour #15 and Deck Pour #14, begin installation of the promenade topping slab, and finish patching the promenade curb concrete.

September 7, 2018: This week the contractor began the removal of side forms for concrete Deck Pour #11 in the lagoon. The contractor also drove the remainder of the foundation piles and continued with installation of the portal doors and the granite cladding on terminal Gates F and G.
 
Over the next several weeks, the contractor is scheduled to begin installation of the false work along the northside of the Agriculture Building and continue with installation of the portals at terminal gates F and G.  Subcontractors are scheduled to place rebar for Deck Pours #14 and #15 and continue work on the curbs around the promenade.

Project Update

August 31, 2018: This week the contractor finished installation of formwork and rebar for Deck Pour #11 on the North side of the lagoon with a successful concrete night pour.  At the promenade, the subcontractors continued the installation of the portal doors and began the installation of granite at Gate F and Gate G.
 
Offsite, the floats and gangways arrived in the Bay Area and metal fabrication continued for the float canopies in Alameda.
 
Over the next several weeks, the contractor is scheduled to begin work on the falsework and formwork along the AG Building and the middle of the lagoon, drive the remaining foundation piles for the promenade, and install the portals at Gate F and Gate G.  Offsite, work on the floats and gangways will begin in Alameda, while metal fabrication will continue.

Project Update

August 24, 2018: This week the contractor continued installation of formwork and rebar for Deck Pour #11 on the North side of the lagoon. At the promenade, subcontractors continued the installation of the doors and electrical conduits at Gate F and Gate G.

Over the next several weeks, the contractor is scheduled to begin installation of the falsework and formwork along the Agriculture Building, begin work on the falsework in the middle of the lagoon, drive foundation piles for the promenade, and install the granite portals at Gate F and Gate G. Subcontractors are scheduled to place rebar for Deck Pour #14, continue work on the portals at Gate F and Gate G, and start work on the curbs around the promenade.
